Thousands take to Phoenix to protest Arizona’s new immigration law

Tens of thousands of protesters, composed of activist groups and unions from around the country, marched from Indian Steele Park in mid-town Phoenix on their way to the state Capitol May 29, trying to send a message to state and federal politicians: Repeal Arizona’s new immigration law.

Goddard to feds: Don’t sue over immigration law

Attorney General Terry Goddard said he urged the U.S. Department of Justice not sue Arizona over S1070, saying he would defend the state in any lawsuit brought by the federal government.
